Job Summary

Our client provides maintenance and refurbishment services for properties predominantly within the public sector and is seeking a bid writer to join the business development team.

The majority of the company's business is awarded through competitive tendering and procurement processes. The business development team is responsible for securing new contracts with government bodies, local authorities and housing associations.

The Bid writer will manage the completion of Selection Questionnaires (SQs), PQQs and tender submissions for opportunities valued between £100K - £50m. The role will encompass the writing, coordination, reporting and management of the end-to-end bid process.  This will include searching for OJEU opportunities, maintaining and updating the bid document library and maintaining the Bid Tracker.

You should be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • High standard of written English, copy writing or other professional writing expertise
  • Good IT skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Organised and able to manage time to meet strict deadlines
  • Good administrative skills
  • Strong attention to detail

It would be desirable if you have the following:

  • Adobe InDesign or similar Design package
  • Bid management experience in a similar sector such as property management or facilities
  • Knowledge of public sector procurement processes

This position is based in east of Oxford, close to M40 and commutable from Aylesbury, High Wycombe, Oxford and Abingdon.
