Our client is an international organisation that delivers enterprise applications solutions to companies located world-wide. They are seeking a Senior Technical Author to join a very well established documentation team. To be considered for this vacancy, you must have a strong technical writing background and understand complex concepts in software development, maintenance, data management, and deployment. You must be able to present complex concepts clearly and concisely.
The Role
Using DITA XML and XMetaL, you will be writing new documentation and maintaining existing documentation, context-sensitive (or popup) help, and online books.
Ideally, you will have a general understanding or experience with various programming languages. You will be able to contribute to the design of our software with particular emphasis on usability, and to discuss technical detail with developers based both locally and abroad.

Responsibilities include:
Creating comprehensive storyboards in English
Building E-learning modules using an authoring tool
Creating video tutorials using screen capture software
Hosting, managing and tracking the E-learning in a Learning Management System
Creating or sourcing imagery for the E-learning

You will own and support the documentation framework and take responsibility for promoting best practices and standards. You will work with business units to document system and process changes using UML and/or BPMN. You will also liaise with technical architects and project managers.
To qualify for this positions, you should have the following expertise:
